I'm currently supporting a highly respected women's lingerie brand in their search for a Finance Manager. The brand is renowned for its meticulous attention to detail, perfect fit, and exceptional quality.
The ideal candidate should possess experience using Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or NAV. Candidates will have a background in fashion, retail, or SME and experience in e-commerce.
As a Finance Manager you will manage one person and report into the MD, you should be a confident and approachable individual who is comfortable working under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Full control over monthly management accounts
- Responsibility for accurate P&L reporting as well as Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Cash flow forecasting
- Budget implementation
- Working with the MD to do margin checks and commentary on the monthly reports
- Day to day bookkeeping as needed
- Managing audits and resolving discrepancies.
- Validating new supplier setups / change requests.
- VAT return preparation and filing - UK and other jurisdictions as required
- Managing creditors and payments
- Filing CT returns, confirmation statements and accounts at Companies House
- Budgeting and forecasting and model building
- Cash flow building and management
- Ad hoc commercial finance tasks to analyse activity
- Overseeing Ops & Finance Exec on PO raising, invoicing, credit control and reconciliations
Skills
- Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or NAV
- Experience in retail/FMCG/SME
- Accounting qualification or part-qualification
- Experience with managing the financial accounting process in a small business
- E-commerce finance experience preferable.
- Ability to problem solve and work in a logical manner.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to be receptive of change and manage changes in working practices.
- Experience of setting up processes and resolving historical issues.
- Advanced Excel skills
