Job Title - Senior Trading Manager (Non Standard car and Van)

Location: Flexible (Office location Bristol)

Markerstudy is a leading provider of private insurance in the UK, insuring around 5% of the private cars on the UK roads, 20% of commercial vehicles and over 30% of motorcycles in total premium levels of circa £1.2b. The majority of business is written as the insurance pricing provider behind household names such as Co-op, Sainsbury's, O2, Halifax, AA, Saga and Lloyds Bank to list a few and Markerstudy also has a large and growing direct presence in the market as well.

Role Purpose

  • To plan and execute the delivery of business results aligned to the approved business plan of in scope brands/functions
  • To manage the relationship with Key Internal and External partners ensuring delivery of strategic targets linked to business plans.
  • To clearly identify a target market for brands and products within span of control
  • To ensure delivery from internal partners of a range of products and distribution channels to match the target market and maximise conversion rates.
  • To develop and lead an overall strategy with the senior team to ensure good customer outcomes aligned to the company's core values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shared responsibility for the P&L performance of selected Markerstudy Distribution brands performance against expected targets
  • To ensure that customers within MSG Distribution brands are protected at all times and that processes fit with the business and regulatory expectations
  • Building strong relationships with internal colleagues across all sites, ensuring good communication and understanding of shared objectives
  • To ensure timely reporting of any issues or incidents which may impact our customers or brand reputation
  • To ensure that all partnerships within span of control are managed appropriately and in line with all Markerstudy Group policies
  • To ensure focus on creating good customer outcomes when products are distributed through all channels
  • Liaise with colleagues across group to ensure a strong marketing proposition and brand recognition for in scope brands and products
  • Maximise sales opportunities through a carefully selected portfolio of products
  • Work with the internal Contact Centre management team to ensure that forecast volumes are understood and service levels targets are achieved and that customers do not face barriers when dealing with us
  • To ensure that sales journeys maintain a continuous improvement cycle and offer customers quick and easy access to fulfil their financial objectives.
  • To ensure a pricing approach which is consistent with the UK regulators expectations and which allows the business to achieve its financial objectives
  • To analyse the performance of selected brands, make proposals for change and drive a culture of success
