We are seeking a dedicated R.E Teacher to join our secondary education team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for religious education and a proven track record of inspiring students to achieve their full potential.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons in Religious Education to students of varying abilities.
  • Preparing lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments in line with curriculum standards.
  • Monitoring and evaluating students' progress and providing constructive feedback.
  • Creating a positive learning environment that accommodates students' diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop new curriculum materials and teaching strategies.
  • Participating in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school-wide professional development.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications in religious education, such as a degree in Theology or Religious Studies.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in a relevant subject area.
  • Prior experience teaching R.E at the secondary education level.
  • Strong understanding of the current curriculum and pedagogical theories.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
