Our client is a well-respected and steadily growing law firm in the City, and they are keen to get on board an experienced L&D Advisor on a 12 month FTC (to cover maternity leave). Also, and very unusually in the current job market, they are looking for someone to work on part time basis (3 days).
This is a busy role supporting the Learning & Development Manager, and in turn supported by two L&D Administrators, so it's a great opportunity for someone wanting to focus on the key areas within L&D that add value, and can make a difference.
The L&D team is considered a "centre of excellence" internally, and they are viewed as an essential part of the firm's development and growth strategy – not just as a tick box. So if you're looking for an opportunity to really stretch your L&D skills, while taking advantage of the flexibility that a part time role offers, then this could be perfect for you.
Ideal candidates will be coming from another law firm's L&D team, as so much of the work is aligned to legal training and development (lawyer CPD), but they might consider candidates from similarly structured professional services organisations. They are very happy to hear from candidates with previous law firm L&D experience who are returning after a break, or a move away from this area;
Duties will include;
- Take the lead on L&D projects.
- Prepare and present business cases for L&D solutions – including budgets, timescales, and potential outcomes.
- Maintain and monitor the budget for the L&D function.
- Meet regularly with key stakeholders across the business to discuss, and suggest training and development for their teams.
- Communicate and internally "market" the L&D provisions, monitoring and reporting on learning take-up and outcomes.
- Produce digital content, edit videos, and write content for training courses and the intranet.
Salary is competitive but obviously pro-rated to the three days. They also offer excellent benefits and the chance to work in a great team.
