Fire Door Install Supervisor

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Fire Door Install Supervisor to oversee our fire door installation projects from start to finish. In this role, you will ensure that fire door works are completed on-time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will also manage the on-site team, ensuring all work complies with relevant regulations and health and safety requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all fire door activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
  • Manage operatives and subcontractors, ensuring all work is performed to the required standard.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and obtain all necessary permits.
  • Monitor project progress, reporting any delays to Contracts Managers.
  • Liaise with Contracts Managers, the Fire Doors team, and other stakeholders to maintain quality standards.
  • Conduct regular on-site inspections, identifying and resolving potential issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date site documentation, including progress reports and change orders.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to on-site workers, including training where required.
  • Ensure correct tools and equipment are used safely and effectively.
  • Understand compartmentation and fire strategy drawings before commencing work.
  • Record all installations using our project management software.
  • Promote safety, reporting accidents and near misses, and maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Ensure all required PPE is worn and maintained and hold a valid CSCS card.

Person Specification:

We are looking for a candidate who is committed to our company mission and customer excellence.

Essential Requirements:

  • 1 to 2 years' experience in fire door installation.
  • FIRAS & BM Trained for fire door installation.
  • Strong construction management experience, with a focus on fire door install supervision.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage on-site teams.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, and confidence to work at height.
  • Basic manual handling skills and initiative to resolve challenges.
  • Genuine interest in our mission and commitment to customer excellence.

Working Conditions:

This is an on-site role, requiring work outdoors in all weather conditions. Occasional irregular hours, including weekends and evenings, may be needed to ensure projects stay on track. The role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods. PPE will be provided.
