Electromechanical Maintenance Engineer

P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently recruiting an Electromechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a full time, permanent basis.

Role Summary:

This role represents an exciting opportunity for an Engineer to develop and grow their career as an Electromechanical Maintenance Engineer. The successful applicant will be part of a team responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electromechanical systems and equipment. This role ensures that machinery and systems operate efficiently with minimal downtime, whilst adhering to safety and quality standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on electromechanical systems.
  • Diagnose and identify root causes and repair faults in electrical and mechanical components of machinery, using diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot issues.
  • Ensure correct functioning of motors, drives, sensors, and other electromechanical equipment.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and ensure that they comply with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Prepare, update and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs, including updating maintenance logs and reports
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant qualification in Electromechanical Engineering.
  • Previous experience of mechanical engineering maintenance in a manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Knowledge of CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems).
  • Relevant technical certifications or vocational training.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electromechanical maintenance.
  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and other control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Ability to prioritise, minimising production downtime
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
