I am currently looking to recruit dedicated and passionate HLTA's to work across my network of partner schools across Doncaster and Rotherham.

Reed are the leading agency in the area and that's all down to the brilliant educators we work with, so I am looking for someone who is experienced, ambitious, talented and overall someone who is driven to provide the best standard of education they can.

You aren't just a member of supply staff, you are vital part of what we do. You are there to create consistency for children, to support their education whilst their main teacher is off - you are there to build connections and relationships.

The role:

  • Encourage students to engage with each other and to take part in school led activities.
  • Understand the barriers students may face and support the needs of the children to ensure that every child can reach their full potential.
  • Inspire the students to become independent and able to express themselves in an age-appropriate manner.
  • Support the teaching staff with regards to child learning and behaviour.
  • Provide feedback to the teacher on student observations and write (and contribute towards) reports on student progress as required.
  • Be able to deliver pre-planned lessons in a way that engages children.
  • Ensure a high standard of behaviour and academic work.
  • Encourage students to act independently as appropriate.

The skills we're looking for:

  • HLTA qualification
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent
  • GCSE Maths and English Grade C/4 or above education or equivalent
  • A good standard of literacy and numeracy
  • Knowledge of the national curriculum
  • Ability to deliver effective lessons
  • Resilience
  • Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the role
  • Ability to quickly develop successful working relationships with people from different backgrounds
  • A positive attitude
  • Ability to inspire students
  • Reliable and punctual
