Special Needs Educator
Location: Braintree, Essex

My school are looking for a committed teacher to join our vibrant team, working with learners aged 3-19 who have a range of learning needs, including profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and severe learning disabilities (SLD). Role Expectations
- Learning & Achievement: Create differentiated learning experiences that cater to the individual needs of students, ensuring all learners are challenged and supported.
- Teaching & Planning: Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with curriculum standards, school policies, and best practices for special educational needs.
- Assessment: Use school assessment systems to track progress and inform teaching, maintaining comprehensive records of each student's achievements.
- Special Educational Needs: Develop and monitor individualised plans, and participate in annual reviews, unified plans, and SEN meetings as required.
- Curriculum Development: Support the development of a curriculum that maximises impact for all learners, promoting inclusion and social development.
- Collaboration & Communication: Liaise with parents, colleagues, therapists, and external agencies to foster a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
- Professional Development: Engage in continuous learning and performance management, contributing to school improvement and setting an example of teaching excellence.

Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) setting
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work flexibly with a team
