Day-to-day of the role:
- Handle customer calls and process payments efficiently.
- Use procedure notes and complex information systems to process applications to a high standard.
- Respond to a high volume of customer emails.
- Depending on the service area, tasks may include reading and interpreting drawings, plans, and maps.
- Manage a caseload using Excel spreadsheets.
- Check customer documentation and input details into Council systems.
- Implement changes quickly to adapt to ever-changing legislation.
- Provide excellent customer service through phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- No previous experience in customer service required as full training will be provided.
- Ability to learn and retain information quickly.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and other information systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to handle diverse tasks.
- Ability to adapt to legislative changes and work in a fast-paced environment.
