Finance Business Partner: Translating Financial Data into Actionable Insights

We are seeking a talented Finance Business Partner to join our client's finance team, playing a pivotal role in bridging the gap between financial reporting and business objectives. This position will provide critical support to key stakeholders, delivering clear and accurate reporting, and conducting in-depth analysis to identify trends that inform strategic decision-making.

Based at our client's head office, this role offers a hybrid working arrangement, combining time in the office with remote work flexibility. You will collaborate closely with finance teams, central departments, and educational institutions to ensure that monthly financial analysis and annual budgets are communicated effectively and concisely across the organization.

As a Finance Business Partner, you will serve as a crucial link between the finance team and the broader business units, fostering improved understanding of financial reporting, providing training, and delivering insights that drive operational efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily financial record-keeping, prepare financial statements, monthly management reports, variance analysis, and commentaries
  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasting for educational institutions
  • Monitor and forecast cash flow, manage capital expenditure
  • Produce annual statutory financial reports, liaise with auditors, and facilitate the statutory audit process
  • Report on organizational assets, liabilities, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and review accounts payable/receivable and lease assets
  • Ensure compliance with internal finance policies and internal control procedures

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CA, CMA)
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, auditing, or management accounting
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing solutions
  • Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to contribute across all aspects of finance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
  • Previous experience with new system implementation initiatives
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as EBS, Sage, SAP, or Business Central (preferred)
  • Prior experience in the education sector (preferred)
  • Legally eligible to work in the region
