Job Title: Special Education Teaching Assistant

About the Role: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Special Education Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will play a critical role in providing support to our special education students and ensuring their academic success.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the special education teacher in the implementation of education plans (EHCP's)
- Provide one-on-one support to students with special needs in the classroom.
- Collaborate with teachers and other educational professionals to ensure students receive appropriate services and accommodations.
- Help students with daily living skills, including personal care and socialisation.
- Monitor students' progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with special needs students is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team and maintain a positive and professional demeanour.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support students with special needs.
