Halcyon Health and Social Care (Cambridgeshire) is working with a client in Cambridgeshire who is seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager for their care home. If you have a passion for providing exceptional care and possess strong leadership skills, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Assist in Management: Support the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the care home.
- Supervise Staff: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of care workers to ensure high-quality care and support services.
- Develop Care Plans: Oversee the development and implementation of personalised care plans.
- Administer Medication: Oversee the administration and recording of prescribed medications.
- Conduct Risk Assessments: Perform regular risk assessments to maintain a safe and secure environment for residents.
- Support Residents: Work alongside care assistants to support residents with their daily needs, promoting independence and activity.
- Liaison: Act as the main point of contact between family members, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Service Development: Collaborate with the leadership team to continually develop and enhance care services.
- Foster Positive Environment: Maintain a fun, inclusive, and professional atmosphere at all times.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant health and social care regulations.
Qualifications:
- Education: GCSEs or equivalent; NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent. NVQ Level 4 or higher preferred.
- Driving License: Full UK Driving License.
- Clearance: Enhanced DBS (on update service).
Experience:
- Previous Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in a care home, with at least 2 years in a management position.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, leadership and team management abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Attitude: Empathetic and compassionate nature with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care.
