JOB TITLE – EXECUTIVE PA TO HEADMASTER – 43 WEEKS (39 SCHOOL WEEKS PLUS 4 WEEKS IN THE HOLIDAYS

LOCATION – FULHAM SW6

SALARY - £32-38K FTE

HOURS – 37.5hrs 8AM TO 4.30PM

START DATE – ASAP

This highly regarded school is amongst the city's most prestigious schools.

The Executive PA is vital to the running of smooth school operations by providing support to the Headmaster and Deputy to the Headmaster. This includes acting as the first line of contact for the Headmaster and his Deputy, issuing whole school communications, diary management, along with a wide range of general secretarial and administrative duties as could be expected in this role.

The PA will mainly report to the Headmaster and Deputy to the Headmaster, however given the high-profile nature of this role, it does involve various aspects of school life. The post holder will be required to work within numerous teams and juggle competing demands in order to facilitate the smooth running of the school.

They will be required to work with staff across the school and should be an adaptable team member who is happy to work flexibly and with numerous stakeholders – whether this be preparing paperwork for meetings, coordinating school admission appeals, furnishing governors with the necessary paperwork prior to meetings, and such other operational tasks required by the organization from time to time.

The nature of the work demands that tact, discretion, diplomacy and confidentiality are of the utmost importance at all times, as is an equable temperament in the face of the competing pressures.

Person specification:

  • Organised and with excellent time management skills, for both themselves and the senior staff whose calendars they manage
  • Strong attention to detail, highly skilled in administrative and IT skills
  • A strong sense of teamwork and adaptability, with the ability to be diplomatic, discreet and prioritise under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with children and adults in order to be a key part of the team, with a positive, mature and approachable attitude
  • A sense of the purpose with regards to the school's goals and how they fit in to proactively achieve them Required
  • An education background is desirable
