HR Administration Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient HR Administrative Support to join our Human Resources team on a temporary basis for maternity cover. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with strong administrative skills to contribute to a fast-paced and supportive environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining personal records and ensuring the highest standards of data management within the HR department.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records, managing correspondence with candidates and updating employment details.
  • Answer telephones, handle enquiries, and provide general administrative support to the HR team.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations in the storage and handling of employee files.
  • Manage leave records, attendance tracking, and update employee status changes.
  • Organise HR events, manage calendars, schedule meetings, and assist with the preparation of HR documents.
  • Attend meetings as required, with potential minute-taking responsibilities.
  • Support initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement.
  • Coordinate with the health and safety officer regarding workplace incidents.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within an office environment.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in document handling.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and experience with PAMS software.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in a similar industry or sector.
  • Familiarity with employment legislation.
  • Knowledge of NTD software.
