Accountant

- Salary: £45,000 to £55,000

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for carrying out critical year-end duties and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring records are accurate and that taxes are paid properly and on time.
- Perform overviews of the financial operations of a business in order to help it run efficiently.
- Utilise accounting software to facilitate processes and maintain records.
- Conduct reconciliation of all accounts on an as-needed basis.
- Maintain and oversee all accounting procedures and processes.
- Follow accounting policies and procedures and align them with company's targets.
- Ensure financial statements are prepared in a timely fashion for external processing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an accountant.
- Excellent organising abilities.
- Great attention to detail.
- Good with numbers and figures.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g. Oracle).
- Qualifications (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) is a plus but not required.
