Key Responsibilities:
As the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and efficiency of the company. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing day-to-day financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and expense monitoring.
- Preparing and presenting accurate, timely financial statements and reports to senior management, enabling informed decision-making.
- Conducting in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks, providing recommendations for cost-saving and revenue-generating strategies.
- Leading the accounting team in maintaining general ledgers, reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Developing and managing annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts in alignment with company goals.
- Ensuring adherence to financial regulations and policies, preparing for audits, and coordinating with external auditors as necessary.
- Identifying and implementing financial process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent certification is required, ensuring a high standard of financial knowledge and ethics.
- Demonstrated experience in finance and accounting, with strong financial statement preparation and reporting skills.
- Proven ability to analyse complex financial data, identify key insights, and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
- Prior experience in the hospitality industry is highly desirable, as familiarity with its unique financial operations will be beneficial.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for managing financial records and ensuring accuracy in reporting.
- Strong team leadership and communication skills to guide the accounting team and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
