Our client is a leading food business who supply to a variety of the major retailers. As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace they are now seeking a driven and ambitious Systems Manager to join their business.
Reporting into the QC Manager, this role is an excellent opportunity for a Food or Fresh Produce professional looking for their role upwards to join a well-respected food manufacturing company that supplies premium products to a number of retailers.
Key Responsibilities:
- BRC System Management: Oversee the BRC system and operations to ensure continuous compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Accreditation & Approvals: Maintain necessary accreditations and approvals by developing and updating procedures, liaising with BRC, SMETA, Soil Association, and other bodies.
- Internal Audits: Execute and maintain the internal audit schedule, covering areas such as HACCP compliance, risk assessments (general, manual, fire), document control, and corrective actions.
- Auditor Liaison: Serve as the primary contact for all auditors, including BRC, SMETA, and Soil Association, as well as customer representatives regarding system processes and procedures.
- Standards Monitoring: Ensure compliance with procedures to meet quality standards for customers, enforce GMPs, BRC, Organic, and other programs.
- Training & Development: Manage and train new and existing staff to maximise utilisation, development, and progression within the Systems department.
- Process Monitoring: Oversee site processes to ensure machinery and personnel produce products that meet company and industry standards.
- Quality Management Systems: Assist departmental managers in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems.
- Continual Improvement: Champion continual improvement and efficiency enhancements within the Systems department.
