We are seeking a dedicated Student Progress Coach to provide pastoral support and mentoring to a caseload of students. This role involves working closely with Curriculum Managers and teaching staff to help students overcome barriers to achievement and develop their wider social and employability skills.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Act as a Progress Coach for a designated number of learners, advocating for their needs and supporting their successful completion of educational journeys by monitoring progress and performance.
  • Support learners' induction, performance, progress, and progression through regular interactions and tailored support plans.
  • Manage a caseload of learners, conducting group tutorials, focused sessions, and one-to-one meetings.
  • Deliver the mandatory tutorial plan for the allocated caseload of learners.
  • Monitor student attendance within the caseload, collaborating with curriculum teams and intervention coaches to enhance attendance in line with college policies.
  • Implement proactive intervention strategies upon identifying barriers to learning, and refer learners to appropriate support services as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of student support services and intervention strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with students, staff, and external partners.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and conduct both group and individual mentoring sessions.
  • Proficient in maintaining accurate records and monitoring student progress.
