Automotive Lecturer
Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time Automotive Lecturer to work at a college in Hull, starting ASAP and ideally operating on a temporary to permanent basis. If not, this temporary position will continue until a suitable appointment is made by the college, with a time frame difficult to establish, but likely this position will last for at least 2 months. Payment for this position on temp will be between £25 and £38 per hour, moving onto a permanent salary of up to £38,200. This is a 37 hour per week position.
This role will involve teaching BTEC Level 2 and 3 students Automotive and Vehicle techniques, as well as completing the necessary planning and marking associated with a teaching role. You will be responsible for a cohort of students, and will work with the experience head of department to ensure that suitable progress is made. You will follow all safeguarding and safety information, ensuring that the students are safe and progressing.
The College is located in Hull, and is central, meaning it is easy to reach via public transport from all areas of the city. There is a car park onsite, but there are often not spaces available. Parking at a very local car park is available, with spaces always available, and this can be paid as additional wages. The college puts great pride in their vocational offerings, and have excellent links with local business to ensure that their students have the best possible opportunities during their course and afterwards.
Tradewind will also support your development during your placement and beyond through our fantastic CPD via The National College. You will be put onto all of the same CPD as permanent staff members, and encouraged to grow.
To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:
- Hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification (or the willingness to work towards one)
- Have experience working within schools in the UK.
- Has experience teaching Automotive or Motor Vehicles.
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
- CV must cover the full CV History
- Legal right to work in the UK
