Site Engineer - Nights

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage night-time operations on-site, ensuring work is carried out according to plans, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Conduct daily site inspections and record measurements, ensuring accurate data collection and reporting.
  • Collaborate with the project manager and other engineers to resolve technical issues.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly those unique to night working conditions.
  • Maintain accurate site documentation, including work permits, risk assessments, and safety reports.
  • Oversee subcontractors and ensure quality control of materials and workmanship.
  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of work schedules, ensuring tasks are completed on time.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Experience working on highways or large infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of construction processes, health and safety regulations, and quality management systems.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently during night shifts, with excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, GPS, and other engineering software is an advantage.
  • Valid CSCS card.
