They are looking for a dynamic and ambitious Graduate Trainee Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to start their career in accounting and gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment.

Role overview:

As a Graduate Trainee Accountant, you will be involved in a variety of accounting tasks including bookkeeping, year-end accounts preparation, and tax returns/computations. You will receive comprehensive training and support as you work towards your ACA or ACCA qualification.

Key responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients.
  • Year-End Accounts Preparation: Assisting in the preparation of year-end financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Tax Returns and Computations: Preparing and filing tax returns, and conducting tax computations for clients.
  • Client Interaction: Communicating effectively with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates.
  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • A 1st class degree is essential
  • A passion for accountancy, with a demonstrated interest and enthusiasm for a career in accounting.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
