Planning and Change Manager

The Planning and Change Lead will report directly to Programme Planning Lead. In this role you will be responsible for the following;

  • Coordination of workstream and detailed programme plans to support overall programme delivery and management of associated dependencies
  • Maintain and review programme wide assumptions and ensure they are updated in a controlled way
  • Maintain detailed project/ release level plans in the planning tool, ensuring dependencies are identified and managed.
  • Support joint planning and management of dependencies with the Money Helper Dashboard programme.
  • Support an effective change control process to govern and manage any slippage against plans and targets and changes to project scope, design and standards.
  • Design and implement best practice project management standards and methodologies and support their implementation across the Programme.
  • Support the dissemination and embedding of programme management best practices across the wider Programme and ensure compliance.
  • Actively engage in the wider project delivery communities to share best practice, lessons learned and wider capability building.

You will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience;

  • APM or PRINCE2 Practitioner level Qualification
  • Experience in Programme/Project planning
  • Experience of using Project management tools and systems such as MS Project / Gantt Pro
  • Familiarity with agile delivery methodologies
  • Experience of RAID, Change Control and decision management
  • Ability to build good working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Solution driven, logical problem solver
  • Demonstrates a genuine passion/interest for project delivery and knowledge sharing and skills development of others
  • Experience of facilitating programme and project delivery planning and risk and issue workshops

At MaPS, we take pride in our flexible approach to work. Most of our roles can operate on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 2 days in the office per week. Hybrid working is a voluntary, noncontractual arrangement and your office will be your contractual place of work. The number of days that anyone will be able to work at home will be determined primarily by business needs, but personal and other relevant circumstances will also be considered.
