R13 Recruitment are pleased to be working alongside a brilliant business dedicated to improving the lives of young people. They are currently looking for a Residential Care Worker to join their team in Reading. The focus of this role will be providing a safe, nurturing environment for the young people within their care.

This is a full time, permanent position working Monday - Friday, based in Reading. The offered salary for this position is £26,000 per annum.

Your duties will include:

  • Developing positive relationships with residents and supporting their personal development including hobbies, education & goals.
  • Utilising therapeutic techniques such as PACE in order to facilitate a support environment.
  • Safeguarding the wellbeing of residents.
  • Keeping in accordance with relevant health and safety regulations alongside ensuring a clean & orderly environment.

You will have /be:

  • Previous experience within residential care.
  • An understanding of child development & trauma informed care practices.
  • Diploma in Residential Childcare.
  • Strong communication & relationship building skills.
  • Empathetic, compassionate and resilient.
  • A genuine passion to help others grow and develop.
