Our client, a global leader in manufacturing with a strong presence in the city of London, is seeking a diligent Credit Controller to cover a maternity leave period. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients and contribute to the financial stability of a renowned international company.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain relationships with a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely collection of payments
- Conduct credit checks and assessments to establish credit limits and terms for new and existing customers
- Negotiate and implement payment plans, addressing client queries and concerns promptly
- Monitor debtor balances and escalate issues as necessary to minimise credit risk
- Prepare and analyse aged debtor reports, identifying trends and recommending actions to improve collections
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to resolve billing discrepancies and optimise cash flow
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar financial role, ideally within manufacturing or a related industry
- Strong understanding of credit control principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
- Detail-oriented and organised, with the ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively
- A proactive mindset, with a commitment to continuous improvement and achieving results
