Job Description: Deputy Manager - Children's Residential Care

£15.38 per hour, plus sleep-in rate

Job Duties:
- Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations of the children's residential care facility
- Provide support and guidance to staff in delivering high-quality care to children
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and policies
- Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans
- Participate in recruitment, training, and performance management of staff
- Handle administrative tasks and maintain accurate records
Required Qualifications:
- Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent
- Prior supervisory experience in children's residential care
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection legislation
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Experience in an EBD setting

Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent

Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and policies in children's residential care
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent
- First Aid and Safeguarding training certifications
Working Conditions:
- Work in a residential care setting with children
- May require evening, weekend, and on-call availability
- Potential exposure to challenging behaviours and emotional situations
