Based out of LS9 Area, our client is looking for a Warehouse Operative
Main Purpose of the role
- To aid the warehouse with wrapping & strapping of pallets and emptying stillages.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- To strap any raw material/work in progress returned from production
- To help with de-boarding OPP pallets
- To empty stillages
- Ensure no stillages are emptied before the de-stilling date
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment at all times
- Wrapping and strapping of finish goods ready for despatch
- Complete the warehouse cleaning rota
- Emptying production/warehouse bins into compactor
Working Times & Pay Rate:
- The hourly rate would be £12.00 for the first 12 weeks.
- After the 12th week - this rises to £12.60 when you become a permanent employee.
Shift Pattern:
3 week rota as follows below....
- 6.00am - 2.00pm
- 2.00pm – 10.00pm
- 10.00pm - 6.00am
Health and safety:
- Report and complete near miss reports
- Correct use of PPE
- Comply with all Roberts Mart H&S regulations
- Follow the warehouse safety rules at all times
- Ensure all fire exits and walkways are clear at all times
Communication:
- Attend team meetings as and when required.
Side Note:
Our client is a non-smoking site and so employees are not permitted to smoke during their shifts.
