HR Administrator (6months)

An opportunity to join an expanding and progressive company as HR Administrator in a fast-paced and varied environment, on an interim 6month basis . Objectives of the role
- To fully support and be a representative of the HR department across the business, developing professional relationships with employees and managers.
- To provide accurate and timely communications with all employees as directed.
- To maintain confidential and accurate updates to all HR databases, documentation, records, policies and information as required.
- To maintain employee confidence by protecting and keeping all human resource information and people matters confidential, in line with GDPR.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain employee personnel records and updating internal databases to include contract creation for joiners, leaver letters, sick leave, holidays, maternity & paternity leave, training courses etc.
- Supporting with arranging interviews and recruitment of new joiners.
- Welcoming new employees to the business supporting inductions and adding them to all relevant systems and training.
- Assisting the department with payroll updates by providing relevant employee information.
- Play an active role in supporting the updating and issuing of company policies and compliance.
- Assist with wider HR departmental projects such as record keeping, GDPR management, data uploads, scanning and archiving etc
- Communication with external partners such as benefits brokers as required.
- Responding to HR-related questions and assist with HR mailbox management
- Helping employees with various arrangements internally.
- Other ad hoc duties including covering other departmental roles and tasks as required.
Skills and Experience
- Enthusiastic and proactive with strong organisational and time management skills.
- An ability work under pressure to ensure deadlines are met and confident to escalate at a senior level as required.
- Approachable with excellent communication skills, personable with the ability to build relationships. Confident approach to dealing with people in an honest, sensitive, impartial and confidential manner.
- Highly self-motivated, and able to follow instructions well.
- Able to contribute as part of a team and willing to share knowledge and learning and encourage others.
- Adaptable and embrace change in a positive manner.
- Able to demonstrate a positive, consistent and hard-working approach and to engage with the company values.
- Strong computer literacy skills especially Word and Excel. Experience of using databases would be advantageous.
- CIPD qualification desired but not essential, previous relevant experience preferable.
