Working hours: Full-time, permanent role. Mon-Fri, 37.5 hours per week - flex office hours.

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Bid Manager to join their dynamic team. As the Bid Manager, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end bid process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality bids that meet client requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the entire bid process, from initial qualification to contract award, ensuring the submission of compelling and comprehensive bids.
  • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders to gather bid requirements, create a bid strategy, and establish deadlines.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis on potential clients and competitors to identify bid opportunities and develop winning proposals.
  • Manage and coordinate the bid team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the bidding process.
  • Review and edit bid content for clarity, consistency, and persuasiveness, making sure it aligns with the client's objectives and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive bid library, including templates and relevant documentation, to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of future bids.
  • Track and report the progress of ongoing bids, addressing any issues or challenges that may arise, and proposing appropriate solutions.
  • Work closely with the sales team to develop strategies, pricing, and negotiation plans to secure successful contracts.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, market developments, and emerging technologies to ensure the organisation remains competitive in the bidding process.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Bid Manager or similar role looking to promotion
  • Strong understanding of the bid management process and the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional writing and editing abilities to develop persuasive, high-quality bid proposals.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritise workloads effectively.
  • Highly analytical mindset, with the ability to conduct thorough research and analysis to drive bid success.
  • Proficiency in using bid management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
