We are a small People & Culture team providing an end to end HR service to c.200 colleagues who work for Evolve Housing + Support a homelessness charity who have nine services where homeless people live, based in London (predominately South).

We have well established HR processes and systems which have recently been reviewed and updated but are always open to new ideas and better ways of doing things.

The key focus for this role is - "To optimise the performance of all people systems and maintain excellent processes, gather, and produce data to make recommendations based on performance metrics"

We use Iris Cascade for all HR & Payroll processing including their recruitment applicant tracking system - this means all people information is held on one system and a candidate who has used a HR system to intermediate/advanced level would have no issues with this standard package. Effectively we have all the basics in place and are a well-established/experienced team.

A typical day in the role is varied and include:

  • Communicating with Evolve Managers & Colleagues by phone, email or face to face, giving policy/entitlement advice and ensuring they can access and effectively use our HR systems and processes
  • Running reports from the system to ensure data is accurate and working with colleagues and managers to correct/update
  • Using reports and data to monitor and make recommendations on our Key Performance Indicators such as absence, staffing levels and labour turnover
  • Providing reports and data to our Payroll Officer to ensure colleagues are paid accurately
  • Inputting to project work in conjunction with operations colleagues and providing employee relations support/advice

Evolve is truly a great place to work, and because we are relatively small, as an HR professional you can really see where you add value. We provide welcome and necessary support to our colleagues and managers who have very difficult but rewarding roles.

You can find more information on the Job Description and Person Specification which is attached as a document for you.

About us

Evolve is a leading homelessness charity in London, providing housing and support to over 1,300 people each year.

Our aim is to help children, young people and adults who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to become independent and resilient. We believe in building on people's strengths, aspirations and goals to help them break the cycle of homelessness.

We offer a programme of support tailored to meet people's individual needs, including housing, employment and skills training, mentoring and counselling. We work with young parents and children at risk of exclusion to build the skills and resilience that can help prevent homelessness. We campaign to end street homelessness. We build affordable homes to help people move on to an independent life.
