An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for a good ofsted rated school in the heart of Preston. The school are seeking to employ a learning support assistant who will support the learning needs of students who require assistance in understanding the curriculum. The school is, mixed and diverse specialist school in the heart of Preston.

LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT

  • Location - Preston
  • Position- Teaching/learning support Assistant - No previous experience required
  • Start date - October 2024
  • Duration / Likely Duration - Ongoing
  • Contract type - Temporary with the view to go permanent after
  • Full time/part time - FULL TIME ONLY
  • Minimum rate of pay GBP100 per day
  • Hours - 8.30am - 3:30 pm (full day)

TEACHING/LEARNING ASSISTANTS DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Work with 5 - 6 students who require additional support - EAL and SEN
Supporting the class teacher in lessons
Run your intervention sessions and booster groups with pupils that need it the most.
Be involved in running extracurricular activities
Writing reports and feeding back to teachers, SENCO, external agencies and parents

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
NO previous education experience is required to apply

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS TEACHING ASSISTANT ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
