Overview

Are you an experienced recruiter in the education sector, ready to hit the ground running? Join us as a Talent Acquisition Specialist and play a key role in shaping the future of education for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. You'll source top tutors for specific locations and collaborate with our team to ensure they get through the vetting process efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing and Recruitment

  • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to identify and attract top SEND qualified tutor talent.
  • Utilise job boards, social media, networking, and professional association
  • Plan and conduct recruitment and selection processes (contacting, pre-screening calls, interviews, practical tasks etc.)
  • Find the best tutors for the locations we need
  • Coordinate and conduct interviews, assessments, and DBS checks
  • Meet monthly and quarterly targets for tutor acquisition (KPI of 50 closings per month

Collaboration and Coordination

  • Partner with the Tutor Administration Team to ensure a smooth vetting process.
  • Work closely with internal teams to understand and meet tutor requirements
  • Support establishing staffing needs and produce forecasts

Onboarding and Support

  • Facilitate a seamless onboarding process for new tutors.
  • Provide ongoing support to ensure tutors are integrated smoothly.
  • Enhance tutor onboarding experience utilising technology where possible

Strategic Advertising

  • Be strategic with job ads and tutor sourcing methods.
  • Develop and implement creative advertising strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
  • Engage with educational institutions and networks to maintain a talent pipeline.
  • Stay abreast of SEND policies, regulations, and best practices in education recruitment

Reporting and Analysis

  • Maintain accurate recruitment data to track and report key metrics.
  • Provide insights for process improvement.
  • Review current talent attraction strategies and provide insights into HR efforts

Essential criteria:

Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Education, Psychology or related field

Sector experience - Proven experience in talent acquisition within the Education sector and preferably specifically in SEND.

  • Demonstrated ability to meet recruitment targets and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for SEND education and improving outcomes for children with special needs Integrity & loyalty
  • A hands-on, can-do attitude - always looking for solutions and thinking out of the box

Desirable criteria:

  • Strong knowledge of SEND policies, regulations and the SEND Code of Practice
  • Knowledge of talent acquisition strategies specific to the SEND education market
  • Familiarity with EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) processes
  • Experience working with local authorities in the education sector
  • Previous experience and proficiency with applicant tracking systems.
  • Strong sourcing and networking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
