Location: Watford General Hospital, Vicarage Road, Watford, WD18 0HU

Ward/Dept: Cardiac Cath Lab

Hours: Full time - 37.5 hours, minimum 4 days a week

Shift Pattern: Variable 8am to 4pm, 8am to 6.30pm, flexibility will be required.

Pay Rates - Day: £23.49

West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable radiographer to lead the cardiac catheter labs radiographic services and staff at Watford General Hospital. This role offers a real chance to make a difference, as you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining radiation safety for the department and will be required to work closely with the radiation protection advisors and the radiology radiation protection panel.

Responsibilities of this job role

  • Participate in being an effective member of the Cardiac Cath Lab team, providing a high standard of radiographic service to Cardiology and patients.
  • Use your clinical knowledge and experience to inform the optimal delivery of the service and to jointly manage the Cath Lab service with the Cardiac Cath Lab Manager.
  • You will have responsibility to supervise junior staff and students including those radiographers during their training in interpretation of plain images.

To be successful in applying for this role you will need:

You are required to have a good knowledge of working in cardiac catheter labs, and operation of Siemens Artis Q x-ray system.

Degree in Radiography.

HCPC registered.

In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of
