Job Description:
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career? My client is seeking a dynamic and skilled individual to join the team in Hemel Hempstead. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality services to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quantity Surveying: Undertake quantity surveying duties, including measurement, cost estimating and cost planning.
- Contract Management: Assist in the administration and management of various construction contracts, ensuring compliance and adherence to contractual terms.
- Cost Control: Monitor project budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide recommendations to clients for cost-effective solutions.
- Cost Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely cost reports, including cost forecasting, valuations, and final accounts.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a point of contact for project-related discussions and queries.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other team members, including senior quantity surveyors and other quantity surveyors, to achieve project objectives.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices, ensuring that projects comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Experience working on similar projects £10,000 - £1million
- Working towards or keen to work towards membership with a relevant professional body.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proven success working on a variety of construction projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge and experience using M3NHF Schedule of rates
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Knowledge of construction contracts (JCT/NEC)
