Finance Officer

We're currently collaborating with a renowned Not-for Profit organisation to recruit two experienced Finance Officers on a temporary basis for 3-4 months.

We're keen to talk to individuals with varied finance backgrounds who can hit the ground running, supporting the team during a busy period. The successful candidates will ideally be AAT Qualified.

Responsibilities:

  • Verifying balances in account books and rectifying discrepancies
  • Verifying bank deposits
  • Managing day-to-day transactions
  • Recording office expenditures and ensuring these expenses are within the set budget.
  • Assisting the finance department and senior accounting staff members with various tasks, including preparing budgets, records, and statements
  • Posting daily receipts
  • Preparing annual budgets
  • Completing the year-end analysis
  • Reporting on debtors and creditors
  • Handling accruals and prepayments
  • Managing monthly budgeting tasks
  • Completing bank reconciliations
  • Completing financial reports on a regular basis and providing information to the finance team
  • Preparing financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivable

This position is based in Newcastle upon Tyne, with an expectation of onsite presence for 3-4 days a week, while offering flexibility for remote work for the remainder.

The salary ranges from £30,000-35,000, depending on experience.
