ROLE: Bid Coordinator

LOCATION: Mid-Kent

SALARY: £30,000 - £40,000 DOE

THE COMPANY

A successful business within the construction industry, is looking for seeking a Bid Coordinator with strong administration, copywriting and design programmes experience to join their team. This role is office based and work a 40 hour week Monday to Friday.

THE JOB

As Bid Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and producing bid documents to help secure new business for the company. Working closely with various internal teams, you will coordinate the entire bid process—from gathering information and writing compelling proposals to designing visually engaging layouts. You must have experience in copywriting and be proficient in design software to create attractive, professional proposals that stand out.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end bid process, including scheduling, gathering inputs from stakeholders, and ensuring timely submission.
  • Develop, write, and edit high-quality content for bids and proposals, tailored to the specific needs of each client and project.
  • Work with subject matter experts to ensure all technical and commercial details are accurate and well-presented.
  • Create visually compelling proposal documents using design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, etc.).
  • Ensure all proposals are consistent in terms of format, style, and messaging.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and business development teams to align bid content with broader company branding and strategy.
  • Maintain a library of up-to-date proposal templates, case studies, and other supporting documents.
  • Track and report on bid success rates, and implement improvements to enhance future performance.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Proven experience in a bid coordination or similar role ideally within the construction industry.
  • Copywriting skills.
  • Proficiency in design programmes (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.).
  • The ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in both writing and design.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
