Vida Education are working with a 'good' secondary school on the outskirts of Preston and are currently looking to recruit a Design Technology Technician for a long term, part time cover commencing in September 2024.
The role will be on a part time basis covering 22 hours per week, with working days to be confirmed depending on the school timetable, but there is a need of flexibility.
You will ideally have previous experience in a similar Technician role as the requirements will be in Art, DT and Food so knowledge of apparatus and school health and safety as essential
Key Responsibilities of the DT Technician role will be;
* Setting Up and Maintaining Equipment * Supporting the teachers to deliver practical lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils * Clean and undertake routine maintenance of equipment * Demonstrate and assist in the safe and effective use of equipment/materials * Ordering of materials and stock checking and record keeping
