Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Children's Residential Team Leader to join our team in Garstang. The successful candidate will lead and support a team of Residential Support Workers, ensuring the delivery of outstanding care and support to children and young people in our residential home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and support a team of Residential Support Workers.
  • Ensure high standards of care and support are maintained at all times.
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans for children and young people.
  • Monitor and manage staff performance, providing supervision and guidance.
  • Assist with the recruitment, training, and development of team members.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for children and staff.
  • Work collaboratively with external agencies, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage challenging behaviours professionally and calmly.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in rota management, ensuring adequate staffing levels at all times.

Requirements:

  • QCF Level 3 in Children's Residential Care or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a Residential Support Worker setting.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • A full British driving licence for a manual car.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Empathy, patience, and a commitment to improving the lives of children and young people.
