Senior Mechanical Analysis Engineer Wolverhampton £65k + Package

Progressive GE and a Global Engineering OEM in Concept Mechanical Systems are looking to recruit a Senior Mechanical Analysis Engineer for their Engineering & Manufacturing HQ near Wolverhampton, owing to significant business growth and project pipeline for 2024-2026.

Based in Wolverhampton and reporting into the Head of Substantiation & Analysis, the Senior Mechanical Analysis Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Responsible for delivery of Analysis packages of specific elements or the entire scope of projects, dependent on size / complexity of the work scope.
  • Delivery of technically compliant design deliverables in accordance with the Design Input Requirements within budget and programme constraints.
  • Capable of leading a team of Analysis Engineers and designers to deliver the appropriate solution from Front End Engineering to Detailed Design production.
  • Provide Engineering Support to manufacture right through to client handover.
  • Preparing calculations, reports, tender proposals and estimates, recommendations for approval within

Specifically, the Senior Mechanical Analysis Engineer will:

  • Carry out defined calculations to determine the acceptability of a structural or mechanical component to a specified code/standard.
  • Undertake analysis & calculations, particularly the design and analysis of mechanical plant & systems, mechanisms and structures.
  • Write and check calculations and FE reports

Experience Required for Senior Mechanical Analysis Engineer role:

  • Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
  • Design and analysis experience of mechanical mechanisms and structures
  • Conversant with 3D CAD software, Pro-Engineer or AutoCAD / Inventor
  • Industrial experience in finite element analysis & classical stress analysis
  • Broad experience comprising static, dynamic (vibration, modal, seismic) and non-linear analysis
  • Good understanding of strength of engineering materials
  • Proficient in the use of ANSYS (Classic or Workbench) / MathCad / StaadPro
  • Understands and works to the right first time culture and contributes to cease the flow of issues downstream.

For the successful Senior Mechanical Analysis Engineer, a salary of up to £65k and benefits package is on offer and this Senior Mechanical Analysis Engineer role is commutable from Wolverhampton, West Brom, Birmingham, Telford, Cannock, Stafford, Stourbridge & Dudley.
