Robert Half is partnering with a prominent manufacturing business in Nottingham to find a highly skilled Finance Director to join their team. This will be the Number 1 role in finance, and will report directly into the CEO and manage a small but highly capable team.
About the Company
Our client is a well-established, profitable, manufacturing business with a turnover of approximately £25 million. They are known for their commitment to innovation and quality, and they are looking for a Finance Director who can contribute to their strategic vision and operational excellence.
Role and Responsibilities
As the Finance Director, you will play a critical role in steering the financial direction of the company. Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a strategic advisor to the board, providing insights and recommendations to drive business growth.
- Overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Full responsibility for statutory and legal reporting requirements
- Ensuring detailed financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making processes.
- Leading the finance team to maintain high standards of financial management and compliance.
- Supporting the company through any future significant events such as MBOs or external fundraising processes.
Key Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience in a Finance Director or similar senior finance role.
- Strong background in the manufacturing sector, with a comprehensive understanding of industry-specific financial challenges and opportunities.
- Solid tenure in previous roles, showcasing stability and commitment.
- Experience in managing significant financial events such as a fundraising / sale process is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior management and stakeholders.
