The Firm has a strong focus on key sectors including Arts and Luxury assets, Middle East, Family Offices, Family Businesses and Entrepreneurs.
The firm's Property Litigation team have a strong reputation in the market for their expertise in acting for large urban estates, commercial mixed-use and residential property developers, occupiers, retailers, hotel owners, charities and high net worth individuals.
The team are highly experienced advising on issues relating to leasehold enfranchisements, restrictive covenant disputes, building safety concerns, and contested business lease renewal claims. They are particularly proficient in landlord and tenant litigation, as well as cases involving rent recovery, dilapidations, and breaches of covenant for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net worth individuals on their UK property interests.
The successful candidate will encounter a wide variety of both commercial and residential property litigation.
The primary role will be to assist the team with property litigation on matter relating to:
- 1954 Act claims where renewal is either opposed or there is substantial dispute renewal terms
- Commercial property disputes concerning breach of covenant or substantial arrears
- Residential property disputes concerning breach of covenant or substantial arrears
- Residential possession
- Service charge disputes
- Dilapidations claims
- Enfranchisement claims
- Telecommunications Act claims
- Contentious rent review advice
- Agricultural disputes
- Neighbour disputes
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years' experience of property litigation (Enfranchisement knowledge would be useful but is not essential). You will also have excellent academics and would have completed your training contract at a top City or international law firm.
