GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and inspiring Religious Education Teacher for a well-regarded school in Medway. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage students in the exploration of religious studies, promoting critical thinking and cultural awareness.

Key Responsibilities for Religious Education Teacher:

  • Develop and deliver thought-provoking and comprehensive Religious Education lessons to students of varying abilities.
  • Foster a respectful and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages students to explore different religious beliefs and ethical viewpoints.
  • Assess, track, and report on the progress and attainment of students, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Utilize diverse teaching strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles and needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to support the holistic development of students.
  • Stay informed about current developments in Religious Education and integrate best practices into your teaching.

Requirements for the Religious Education Teacher:

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and relevant qualifications in Religious Education or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Religious Education at the secondary school level.
  • Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans tailored to the needs of each class.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Commitment to fostering a learning environment that respects diversity and encourages open dialogue.
