Henderson Brown Professional Services are delighted to be partnering with our global client based in Peterborough who is seeking an Internal Communication Specialist to enhance internal communication and engagement across their organisation.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to
- Enhance Communication Methods: Evaluate and improve existing internal communication strategies to align with our client's strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with Leaders: Develop internal communication plans with senior leaders to engage colleagues in delivering the organisation's strategy and ambition.
- Lead Communication Campaigns: Plan, deliver, and assess key internal communications campaigns, including engagement surveys, learning programs, DE&I initiatives, business changes, and seasonal campaigns.
- Manage Communication Channels: Oversee internal channels like e-newsletters, digital screens, emails, and posters to ensure content is current and aligned with priorities.
- Coordinate Content Creation: Work with agencies and creative teams to produce engaging content within budget.
- Advice on Best Practices: Guide departments and colleagues to ensure accurate and aligned messaging.
- Develop Internal Events: Organise events such as annual conferences, awards, and connection days.
- Align Messaging: Ensure consistency in messaging across the organisation.
- Benchmark and Improve: Compare internal communication activities with other businesses and recommend improvements.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in internal communications and employee engagement, demonstrating success in delivering effective communication strategies and campaigns. They should be an articulate communicator and creative storyteller, highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects. Knowledge of measurement and best practices in internal communication is essential, along with experience working directly with leadership. The candidate must be able to think strategically, plan content effectively, and be proficient in creating content for various channels. Confidence in providing advice on communication best practices and the ability to manage projects independently are also key attributes for this role.
