Marketing & eCommerce Manager

We have an excellent opportunity for a Marketing & eCommerce Manager to join the team of anaward-winning independent home interior brands based in Bracknell, Berkshire.

About the role As Marketing & eCommerce Manager you will develop and deliver both the ecommerce strategy and a multichannel marketing strategy, ensuring commercial growth whilst building brand equity. Duties include:

  • Leading a high performing team that comprises marketing, brand and creative expertise
  • Playing a key part in growing the business in the UK and beyond
  • Focusing on both incremental new customer growth and strong customer retention
  • Overseeing the work of supportive external agencies including performance marketing, SEO and web development
  • Collaborating with other key departments such as the Product, Customer Service, Sales, and Merchandising teams.

Key responsibilities:

  • Create and manage communication strategies to maintain a consistent brand voice and messaging across all platforms
  • Communicates weekly/monthly/seasonal performance of digital marketing, including Paid Social and PPC activity, Email and overall customer acquisition and retention
  • Lead and manage campaign execution across channels working with the creative teams, ensuring requirements are outlined and marketing deadlines are met
  • Working closely with the product team to ensure products are well-represented and commercially focused
  • Own and plan each year the content calendar to support all functions efficiently
  • Responsible for budget management and modelling, monitoring performance and setting KPIs.
  • Allocate budgets effectively ensuring maximum return on investment
  • Monitor and analyse market trends, consumer feedback and competitive activities to adjust brand and marketing strategy
  • Improve the effectiveness of organic marketing channels, reducing the reliance on PPC
  • To set the brief for PR, directing external resources to deliver coverage on both brand and product coverage month on month
  • Ensuring the team delivers a best practice approach to Search Engine Optimization, and shape content accordingly
  • Overseeing the effectiveness of the website user experience
  • Identifying areas of opportunity to optimise engagement conversion rate
  • Working with the Creative and Content team to ensure that brand assets and marketing messages are on-brand and in line with seasonal campaigns and marketing objectives
  • Owning the CRM and Email strategy, working closely with the Content team to plan and create the weekly email sends and automations

About the rewards For the role of Marketing & eCommerce Manager you'll work 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, and there on offer:

  • A salary of up to £60,000 per annum, depending on your experience.

About you To be successful for the role of Marketing & eCommerce Manager, you'll have the following experience, personal skills and attributes:

  • Ideally a Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field
  • 5 years plus experience in brand and marketing at senior management level
  • Experience of overseeing creative and technical marketing teams
  • Professional experience utilising tools for media relationship management (CRM) software, and social media monitoring
  • Proven experience in managing a successful launch of campaigns within a brand and retail environment
  • Experience in managing PR and creative agencies or the equivalent in-house teams
  • A strong understanding of all the marketing channels and how they operate
  • Strong people management skills and experience
  • Commercially savvy and can identify opportunities
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload
  • Good writing and communication skills
  • Excellent people skills including a professional and diplomatic demeanor
