Our client is seeking a Trainee Application Support Specialist to join their dedicated IT team, supporting operations across two sites. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to tackle a variety of hardware and software challenges while contributing to innovative software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation & Configuration: Set up and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
- System Maintenance: Monitor and maintain computer systems, telephone systems, and networks to ensure seamless operations.
- Technical Support: Provide timely and effective technical support across the company, both in person and over the phone.
- User Account Management: Set up and manage accounts for new and existing users.
- Equipment Maintenance: Repair and replace equipment as necessary to maintain efficiency.
- Software Development: Engage in the development of next-generation software projects, utilizing best practices for tested, documented, and maintainable code.
- Technology Testing: Evaluate new technology and software to keep the company at the forefront of IT advancements.
What Our Client Is Looking For:
- Technical Experience: Demonstrable experience with hardware and network management.
- Software Proficiency: Proven knowledge of C# .net and SQL Server; familiarity with Python and Django is advantageous.
- Best Practices Knowledge: Understanding of software engineering best practices, including testing, coding standards, and version control.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.
