Senior Backend Developer

About the Role: As the Senior Back End Developer, you'll be the cornerstone of the backend development efforts, designing, developing, and maintaining services for their internal and public-facing Angular applications, including their £7m revenue public website. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of the backend side, mentor future team members, and play a crucial role in steering the direction of our development practices.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and implement backend development strategies
  • Write and maintain efficient, reusable, and robust code
  • Mentor and develop less experienced team members
  • Implement best practices for high-quality, performant, and scalable solutions
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks, bugs, and other issues
  • Set and maintain code quality standards and testing regimes
  • Collaborate closely with the front-end development team

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in C# and .NET 4.5 framework / .NET Core
  • Strong understanding of SOLID principles, RESTful services, and API design
  • Good understanding and experience of Domain Driven Design (DDD)
  • Commercial experience with Entity Framework 6 / Entity Framework Core
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure DevOps CI and CD pipelines
  • Experience monitoring and managing Microsoft Azure resources
