We are seeking a supportive and reliable Special Needs Teaching Assistant to assist ASD, SEMH, PS, Complex and PRU pupils, based in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

This is may be a day-day, short term or contract postion for the successful Special Needs Teaching Assistant who will support the students with compassion, enthusiasm and understanding.

The successful Special Needs Teaching Assistant must be clear in all communications with the students and staff, has an encouraging and supportive attitude, can develop strong and professional learning journeys for the pupils during their educational journey. Furthermore they must confidently face challenges that may arise with the pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Teacher with educating the pupils within an inclusive, supportive and positive environment
  • Assist students with any class work and tasks provided by the Teacher
  • Be a listening ear to students and a supportive role model

Candidate Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in assisting ASD/SEMH/PS, Complex/PRU pupils.
  • Enthusiasm for assisting pupils with learning
  • Strong communication and team building skills with the students and staff

Summary:

Information on the Teaching Assistant role:

Location- Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

Pay- £85-100 per day.

This is equivalent to £425-£500 per week Full-Time.

Day rate is dependent on qualifications and experience.

Hours- 8.30am- 3.30pm Monday-Friday.

Full-Time and Part-Time roles available.

Contract- Day-to-day, short-term, long-term, and permanent roles available.

Year- Key Stages 1-5 (Years 1-11, age 5-16). Some roles available in Key Stage 5 (Years 12-14, age 16-19).

Qualifications- GCSE Maths and English Grade C or Level 5 and above.
