Senior Full-Stack Developer
A unique opportunity has arisen for a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join a leading tech-for-good Consultancy, where you can see your programming make a meaningful difference. This company prides itself on its wonderful working culture. This role offers the chance to work on innovative projects from inception to delivery, enhancing internal and external client software solutions.
Location: Can be based in either Cambridge or London, UK - 2/3 day in office (during the initial 6 months they would like someone predominantly on-site, with 1 day remote)
Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 per annum + a generous benefits package including private medical, life insurance, income protection, travel insurance, paid study leave, company-funded socials and more!
Requirements for Senior Full-Stack Developer:
- Highly proficient with solid commercial experience in backend development using Node.js or other server-side programming languages such as Golang, Python, Java
- Skilled in creating and executing unit and integration tests for backend systems
- Familiarity with front-end JavaScript frameworks such as Angular
- Comprehensive knowledge of RESTful APIs, web services, and familiarity with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
- Strong analytical and debugging abilities
- Knowledge of software development best practices and design patterns
- Effective communication skills to foster strong working relationships with team members and clients
- Proven project management experience with strong organizational and time management capabilities
- Highly productive with the ability to adapt to shifting deadlines
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service
- Eagerness to continuously learn and improve technical skills
- Any experience with AWS, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Docker, RabbitMQ would be helpful
Responsibilities for Senior Full-Stack Developer:
Working in an Agile environment where the stack covers Node.js, Python, Go, and Angular, using Kubernetes and Docker for deployment on a cloud-powered platform, you will be responsible for:
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design to deployment
- Create innovative features and set new standards for technical quality
- Work closely with project managers and clients to shape project visions and strategies
- Convert complex technical requirements into actionable plans and effectively address technical questions
- Deliver products and services on time, within budget, and meeting project deadlines
- Mentor team members, review their work, and provide training to improve team skills
- Conduct internal training sessions to disseminate knowledge and enhance technical proficiency across the company
