The Company:
ER Recruitment are working with a multinational apparel buying hub and exporter who are known for their outstanding service globally.
Our client are now looking to expand their successful business with a Womenswear Designer who will be responsible for creating and developing innovative designs that meet market trends and client requirements.

Role & Responsibilities of the Womenswear Designer:

  • Create and develop original designs for denim and woven garments for womenswear.
  • Translate market trends and client briefs into innovative and commercially viable designs.
  • Develop mood boards, colour palettes, and fabric selections to support design concepts.
  • Create detailed technical sketches and specifications.
  • Work closely with pattern makers and sample makers to ensure the accuracy and quality of samples.
  • Utilize design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create digital designs and tech packs.
  • Collaborate with the sourcing team to identify and select appropriate fabrics and trims.
  • Work with the production team to ensure designs are feasible and align with production capabilities.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and present design concepts.
  • Conduct market research to stay up-to-date with current and emerging fashion trends.
  • Analyse competitor products to identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Attend trade shows and fabric fairs to source new materials and gain industry insights.
  • Oversee the production process to ensure the final product meets design specifications and quality standards.
  • Provide feedback and direction during the fitting and sampling process.

About You as the Womenswear Designer:

  • Proven experience as an Assistant Designer or at the newly promoted Designer level in Denim/Woven for womenswear.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing creative design skills and a deep understanding of women's fashion.
  • Proficient in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Enthusiastic and motivated with a desire to contribute to the growth of the business.
