Credit Controller, £27,000-£30,000+Benefits, Thatcham (Hybrid)

Job Summary: As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing the company's credit policies and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts. You will work closely with our finance team and other departments to maintain healthy cash flow and minimize financial risk.

Key Responsibilities for the Credit Controller:

  • Monitor and manage the collection of outstanding invoices.
  • Conduct credit checks on new customers and manage credit limits.
  • Maintain accurate records of all credit transactions.
  • Communicate with customers to negotiate payment plans and resolve payment issues.
  • Prepare regular reports on credit control activities and debtor status.
  • Liaise with sales and customer service teams to address customer queries.
  • Identify and escalate high-risk accounts to management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

Qualifications for the Credit Controller:

  • Proven experience in credit control or a similar finance role.
  • Strong understanding of credit control principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in using financial software and MS Office applications.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult situations.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • 2+ years experience in Sales Ledger, Credit Control, Billing or OTC
