Financial Accountant / Up to 50k - 57k / Fully Remote / Liverpool / 12 Month fixed-term
Accountable Recruitment have an exciting opportunity to work with a well known organisation based in Liverpool City Centre for a Financial Accountant on a 12 month basis.
Reporting into the Financial Controller you will be responsible for providing full management accounts production and assisting with the year end process.
Key day to day duties will include:
- Production of monthly management accounts
- Assist with the month end close process
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Branch reconciliation and general maintenance of a strong financial control environment.
- Ownership and control of tax and other P&L and balance sheet accounts as part of the close process.
- Manage, control and streamline the monthly intercompany charges process.
- Produce regulator and other financial compliance returns, and manage any related enquiries.
- Prepare routine tax compliance returns for VAT (including weekly review of tax codes), betting duty, employee and any other taxes, and assist with any compliance enquiries.
- Help with the preparation of year end group and subsidiary accounts, and the audit process.
- Support the budget and planning process by providing group tax forecasts.
- Production of the year end group and subsidiary corporation tax returns, and accounting entries.
The successful candidate will:
- be locally based, although the role is remote, the individual may need to be available for site meetings at short notice
- be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
- Have a strong technical accounting background
